The province has established Eastern Waste Management (EWM) as the organization that will advance waste management and assist communities to implement the Provincial Waste Management Strategy in the Eastern Region. EWM is working with all the sub-regions to ensure the best waste management program is in place for its communities.
A joint contract has been awarded to Ridge G&P Services Ltd. to provide curbside waste and recycling collection in the Lower Trinity South - Conception North Region area for the communities of Heart's Content to Kingston including the Bay de Verde Peninsular.
