My Grandfather, George Strong was from Old Perlican. He was born in the 1880's I loved looking at your pictures. Hope to visit someday. Beautiful place.

I had the pleasure of hitchhiking from Regina Sask to Old Perlican in 1968 with a buddy and worked as gardeners for Dr. Wilkinson. The people were some of the friendliest people I have met, as a whole, even though curious about us off-islanders. I am pleased that the hospital was dedicated to Dr. Wilkenson, a fine man. Best place I could have gone to.

I just visited my aunt in old Perlican. I loved it. Her family history dates back to Daniel's Cove. It was a great history lesson for me

Born in Old Perlican in 1956 and left just before my brother was born (we went to Snow Lake, Manitoba). Haven't ever been back to Newfoundland since. Love this new site - photos are lovely, the layout is excellent, and the sea views in particular are very reminiscent of Cornwall, which I visit regularly. I reckon I must be hankering after the sea! Will hope one day to visit....

I'm the grandson of Elizabeth (Barrett)and Archibald Woodland. I got to visit Old Perlican only once about 1967, although I was only five or six, I remember it as though it was yesterday. Always think about that and hopefully I'll make my way back sometime soon.
